Drum From Home

Argos wanted to encourage families in Britain to have fun at home and spend some time together during the COVID-19 lockdown.

 

So, we created a content series across Argos’ social channels which did just that. From running a den making competition, #GreatBritishDenBuild, to social films showing homemade hacks and craft tutorials for children, the series brought some much-needed fun into homes across the UK.

 

The content series culminated in Argos and Nandi, the star of our Christmas campaign, inviting the nation to get involved and try to ‘Drum From Home’. Nandi returned to teach children and adults how to drum through a series of films, first with Argos showing families how to craft a drum-kit out of household items, and then how to drum to popular song “Gotta Get Thru This” by Daniel Bedingfield.

 

Our hero spot features videos of the public putting their drumming from home skills to the test. The music video premiered during Britain’s Got Talent, banging the drum for the Great British public who had proved, once again, that they could come together and get through anything.
